- Back up your original save game from the memory: You can only have one save game in your Wii console (and so is on the SD card). So before you mess with anything, back up your save game to your SD card using the Save Game Management screen on Wii. Once you copied to SD card, you can find the game in "\private\wii\title\" in the card. For instance, my Mario 64 save game is in "\private\wii\title\NAAE" with the file name "data.bin".
- Create a new folder in the title folder and move your save game to that folder. I created one called "2009-06-14 - My Orginal Save". Once in a new folder, Wii will not mess with your backup save file.
- Download your save game from the Net. I grab mine from GameFAQ.
- Rename the .bin file you downloaded to data.bin, and put it in your SD card's "title" folder we mentioned in step 2.
- Use Wii Save Game management console to copy the save game to your Wii.
- Mission accomplished.

How to load save game for N64 Virtual Console
I haven't got all the Stars for Mario 64 yet, and while I enjoy making the progress by my won effort instead of chatting, I could get frustrated at certain level, and wish I could keep practicing on that level. That's why I was starting to look around and see if it's possible to load the save game posted by other netizens into my Mario 64 Virtual Console on Wii. And I just figured that out.
